Creating an account

Open your TKP instance's admin panel (for example https://your-tkp-instance.example/admin) and follow Register on the login page.

Depending on how the instance is configured, registration may work differently:

• Open: anyone may register with any email address.
• Invite only: registration is blocked unless you arrived through a tenant invitation link (see Accepting a tenant invitation). The registration form tells you this and points you to an existing member.
• Allowlist: only email addresses matching an operator-defined list (specific addresses or whole domains, e.g. *@your-university.example) may register. The registration form tells you this too.

Ask your instance's operator which mode applies if registration is refused.

What happens after you register

A fresh account with no invitation has no workspace yet. TKP redirects you to Create tenant, where you name your first workspace (or leave the name empty to get a personal one) and become its Owner. See Tenants & membership roles for what that means.

From there you land on your tenant's dashboard.
